The Galleries showcase a curated collection of my Fine Art African wildlife and landscape photography from Southern Africa.
The photos were created over a period of approximately 20 years. The galleries encompasses black-and-white photography and color photography.
I have a special interest in black-and-white photography. Black-and white photography emphasizes texture, shape and contrast over color, creating a timeless and dramatic effect by stripping away the complexity of the full color spectrum. It removes color distractions, allowing you as the viewer to focus on these deeper visual qualities.
Color brings another dimension to photography. Color photography captures the vibrancy of wildlife and landscapes. Color breathes life into every frame, capturing the raw energy of a scene and the subtle color harmonies and bold color contrasts that define Southern Africa’s wildlife and landscapes.
My goal is to showcase the diverse beauty of Southern Africa’s wildlife and landscapes. Each photo tells parallel stories – a personal story and that of the scene or subject. Stories of location, fleeting moments in time and the essence of life and the natural world.

Color brings another dimension to landscape photography. It serves as a dynamic compositional tool, guiding the viewer’s eye through the scene, while the rich palette of colors brings emotional vibrancy and lifelike realism to each scene, capturing the essence of a landscape with clarity and depth.
Bird Photography
Southern Africa is a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to a breathtaking diversity of species, from majestic birds of prey soaring over the rugged Drakensberg Mountains to vibrant waterbirds wading in the serene coastal and inland regions.
